Lakeland Camp Corduroy
1940/50's era corduroy jacket camp nostalgia. The jacket was purchased with ghost lettering "Lakeland" once embroidered and removed. Now restored in the same style along with dreamy canoe camping imagery.
I believe the jacket was manufactured by Universal Uniform Co. but the label is gone, but it's very similar to the blue FFA jackets commonly seen. Could also be a Van-Tex corduroy jacket, but they don't normally have the zip chain chest pocket.
The jacket is in good vintage condition with the original pocket zip chain, talon zipper and the corduroy wale looks great for its age. It has the classic cinch pulls in the back to give that natural waist fit you're looking for.
Chain stitch embroidery was applied using antiquated techniques and hand-operated machinery as per usual.
